Installing the Filter

Step 1 - Installing the SecureSurf Filter - Click on the Link to begin the installation of the SecureSurf product.

Step 2 - Setting up your Filter - Because you have already given us most of your information, you will be taken right to Step 3 of the sign up process.

Step 2a - This screen allows you to set up the Accept or Deny for the categories listed. You can tighten or loosen the filter to meet your needs. Once done Click on 'Save Changes'. You will notice that Pornography is unchangeable.

Note: you can always go back and change this later.

Step 3 - This step will allow you to set up multiple users.

Step 3a - It is our recommendation that you just click on the 'Don't Use a Login Screen', and come back later to customize your account.

Step 4 - Your account ID is: ###### - write this number down, you may need it to accesss your administrative area.

Step 4a - Click on the 'Install Now!' button

Step 5 - This screen is used to install the Filter. It will ask you if you want to 'Open' (or in some versions of Windows it may ask you to 'Run'). Do not Save it, it just add's a step. Click on the 'Open' button.

Step 6 - The program will be downloaded into memory. Depending on your connection speed this could take several minutes. Once done, go to the next step.

Step 7 - Click on the 'Setup' button.

Step 8 - Congratulations, you've successfully installed your plug-in. It is recommended that you close down all your programs and re-start your computer.

What's this icon for? The Home and Family Administration Icon will take you to the Administrative login page. Simply double click on this icon. Have your username and password ready.
